BIPOC Garden Expansion

Good news! The BIPOC Garden is expanding! In 2022, we created a new space dedicated to growing culturally relevant plants for people of color within our community. Thanks to the work of many dedicated individuals, the Beacon Food Forest was awarded $144,000 to fund the staffing of our employees and the expansion of the BIPOC Garden to increase food production aimed at the disparity of food availability in our community.

With a new year upon us, we’ve redirected our sights at getting more people in the dirt! Our volunteers and staff are currently working on internships and stewardship programs for those interested in maximizing their knowledge. Keep an eye out for opportunities on our calendar!
