Drought Resilient Homes and Landscapes (Live Virtual Class)

  • Live Virtual Class using Zoom (map)

Learn how you can create a drought resilient home and landscape. As the Pacific northwest gets warmer and drier, we can tap into other water supplies to reduce our home water consumption and protect watersheds. There are many things we can do, such as reusing household greywater, collecting rainwater and efficiently irrigating.

We will discuss:

  • Backyard rainwater harvesting system

  • Simple, affordable and popular home greywater systems

  • Integrated design to maximize water efficiency and grow a beautiful, productive landscape

This virtual class will feature a live, interactive lecture with slide show and time for questions and answers with the instructor. We will be using Zoom for this class, which you can use on your computer or phone.

*This workshop is part of a Permaculture Speaker Series hosted by the Beacon Food Forest and Tilth Alliance . The goal of this series is to focus on climate solutions that are creative and relevant in our urban communities.
